Following apparently months in absolute silence meditating, Austrian electro-pop recluse Inner Tongue is now making a sound in the shape of debut single Tz, Ka, a sweet, ethereal breeze of restrained beats and heart-squeezing synths, all anchored by restless, yet mournful bass pulses.

While readying himself for the release of his forthcoming LP, Opium, producer, songwriter and avant-garde extraordinaire Jay-Jay Johanson has found time to team up with Cocteau Twins guitarist Robin Guthrie for an intimate re-imagining of Bat For Lashes’ Laura.

The dark pop trench mined by the likes of London Grammar, The xx and FKA Twigs has just revealed a new seam in the form of the creeping, audio night sweats on B MilesNine Matches.

Ho99o9 (pronounced Horror) are like Death Grips’ bratty yet equally vicious and unpredictable younger siblings. Savage Heads/Gates of Torment is a grainy blast of lacerating punk-rap delivered straight from – and directly to – the gut.
