Q spoke to New Order frontman Bernard Sumner in London yesterday (2 September) as the band announced plans for a new record.
Confirming they are signing to Mute Records, he explains how the label’s owner Daniel Miller (pictured with the band) influenced the group’s decision to become an “indie band” again, their plans for an “electronic” sounding record – including sessions with Chemical Brothers‘ Tom Rowlands – plus previewed his forthcoming autobiography Chapter And Verse.
