St Vincent: “I was amazed and shocked to play with Nirvana” (Q342 Preview)

St Vincent has told Q she was shocked to join the remaining members of Nirvana onstage earlier this year.

Annie Clark teamed-up Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic for Lithium when the band were inducted into the Rock’N’Roll Hall Of Fame, and in our latest issue, Q342 out now, she tells Niall Doherty she was amazed as anyone to be asked.

“My manager called and said, ‘I’ve got a weird one.’ He meant it affectionately obviously,” she laughs. “He told me Nirvana was going to be inducted and they wanted me to ding a song with them… I was amazed and shocked.

“I wouldn’t be playing music without Nirvana… they had a tremendous impact on the world at large and I was no exception to that.”
