Blur returned to their spiritual London homeland at the week (20 June), London’s Hyde Park, for a mammoth gig – and Q caught up with the show stealing, voice of Parklife Phil Daniels backstage.
The actor discussed his cameo in the set both at the weekend and the band’s other Hyde Park shows with Paul Stokes, plus his memories of how his contribution to he song came about and his other rock’n’roll collaboration, The Who‘s Quadrophenia, including why he’s now playing the dad of his original character in Pete Townshend‘s classical reworking of the rock opera.
