Queen’s Roger Taylor has spoken about his memories of the creation of Bohemian Rhapsody, which won Q Classic Song at Monday’s (19 October) Q Awards In Association With Absolute Radio.
Speaking in a backstage video interview below, he recalled how frontman Freddie Mercury first introduced the track to the band.
“When Freddie first brought it in we only heard the me mama mia section, but I thought it was a great song so we ploughed on,” he recalls. “It got a bit madder, and a bit madder! And then we stuck some other bits in… it catapulted us to a different level!”
