Tangerines are playing the Q Stage at this year’s Great Escape Festival tomorrow (19 May) alongside Let’s Eat Grandma, Will Joseph Cook and Thomas Cohen. Ahead of the show at The Haunt in Brighton, we put five questions to them.
WHO would play you in the film of your life?
Gareth Hoskins (vocals, guitar): Jon Pertwee as Worzel Gummidge is about as close as you’re ever going to get.
Isaac Robson (drums): Verne Troyer.
Miles Prestia (guitar): We would have to resurrect Gian Maria Volonté at the peak of his madness.
Ricky Clark (bass): Julia Roberts.
WHAT are you currently working on?
IR: Mixing tunes. Mixing drinks. Writing. Slighting. Lighting. Playing shows. And we’ll be playing at a load of festivals this summer, starting with Great Escape!
WHY do you do that thing you do?
MP: Because we are guided by Hoodoo and haunted by Ju Ju, we got mojos with strings and Gris Gris spells to redeem.
WHERE do you see yourself in ten years?
RC: Scouring the earth for the last living large mammal.
WHEN will there be a harvest for the world?
GH: When one of us are next parked on a toilet seat.
