Will Joseph Cook is playing the Q Stage at this year’s Great Escape Festival this Thursday (19 May) alongside Let’s Eat Grandma, Tangerines and Thomas Cohen. Ahead of the show at The Haunt in Brighton, we put five questions to him.
WHO would play you in the film of your life?
Danny Devito. Most people wouldn’t class his aesthetic as very versatile, but to those people I say acting is more than skin deep. Everyone else should be played by themselves though, i.e my real mum plays my mum.
WHAT are you currently working on?
At the moment I’m working on my next video and getting ready to play a bunch of shows over the summer. Although I’ve finished the album now, I’m still writing a lot at the moment. I’m also currently planning to start a London club night with my brother and friends called Coffee On Mars.
WHY do you do that thing you do?
Because love conquers hate.
WHERE do you see yourself in ten years?
Creatively, doing what I want but probably wanting more. Personally, I hope to be in love and not depressed.
WHEN will there be a world harvest?
When ant burgers are a thing.
