Black Rivers – the new band from Doves duo Jez and Andy Williams – are set to release their self-titled debut album on 9 February, but Q has an exclusive mix of their new single you can hear below.
The Time And Space Machine/ The Grid’s Richard Norris – who also collaborates with Errol Alkan as Beyond The Wizard’s Sleeve – has remixed the song at the pair’s request, as Andy Williams tells Q.
“We first met Richard when [pre Doves band] Sub Sub & Grid played together around 1992,” he explains. “We were both made up when Richard said he’d be up for remixing The Forest. I think there’s no one else out there doing what he and Beyond The Wizard’s Sleeve are doing. He’s definitely captured the original spirit of the song, but has now turned it into more of a hypnotic journey!”
