The Charlatans are playing a Q Gig – and tickets for this special show are on sale now. The band will perform the one-off show on Wednesday, 2 November 2016, at London’s Roundhouse.
“It’s such an honour to play a show for Q,” Tim Burgess tells Q. “I remember buying the first issue way back in 1986. We’re a little younger, but The Charlatans have been around nearly as long as Q, so we’re looking forward to celebrating together at the Roundhouse in a few weeks’ time.”
The gig – which will follow this year’s Q Awards ceremony at the same venue – will also feature a DJ set from New Order‘s “Other Two” as we look to mark what is a special year for Q.

“It’s Q Magazine’s 30th birthday this year so we wanted a band that could help us celebrate in style,” explains Q’s Editor-in-Chief Phil Alexander. “The Charlatans are the perfect band for that. They’ve seen off Madchester and Britpop, and made music that’s stood the test of time. They’re loved by the Q team and our readers, and we’re thrilled that they’ve agreed to play on what should be a very special evening.”
