Watch Paddy Considine performing live with his band Riding The Low at this year’s Festival Number 6.

The actor took to the stage at Tim Burgess‘ Tim Peaks Diner on the final day of the event (7 September) and we have video of the performance His Love Affair With Americana Is Over from the set, which included strings arranged by the event’s composer-in-residence Joe Duddell.

“The gig came about through Tim Burgess. We connected through our love of meditation!” Considine told Q of the set. “He offered us the slot and we jumped at the chance. When we heard Joe Duddell had offered to write an arrangement for Americana… we flipped. It feels like we are getting out there at last, and people are aware that’s it’s not just some actors vanity project, but that we are a half decent band! It was a great moment.”

“I’d been talking to Paddy for a while and we were programming the stage at Festival Number 6, I’d heard his band and thought they’d be perfect,” added Burgess. “I’ve done some gigs with Joe Duddell who is the composer in residence at Number 6 – he was writing string and orchestral parts for Temples and Steve Mason so we asked if he’d like to work on a song for Riding The Low too and what he came up with was fantastic!”

Watch the performance, show by Chris Burwin, now.
