This year’s fancy dress theme for Bestival (4-7 September) is “Desert Island Disco”. To get in the mood, we’re indulging our inner – if slightly glitter tinged – Radio 4 and getting a host of the act’s Desert Island Disco Discs. This week it’s London Grammar.

David Crosby – Triad

There is a live version of this track on Crosby, Stills and Nash album called 4-Way Street. It is a wonderfully gentle song, and this recording is particularly beautiful.

Nick Mulvey – Meet Me there

We are all listening to his music at the moment and this newest track is brilliant. It would sound good on a desert island.

The Tymes – Are You Lookin’

Our tour manager played this constantly during our tour in America. The refrain at the end of the song is amazing: Everybody’s under the same cloud/ if it rains on me it rains you. A brilliant lyric.

War on Drugs – An Ocean Between the Waves

It sounds like a modern Tom Petty. Another song we played constantly on tour recently.

Radiohead – Weird Fishes/ Arpeggi

We have all listened to this song endless times, and it never ever gets old. Its almost perfect.
