Not everyone’s fevers prove so useful, but The Coral‘s Ian Kelly managed to get a solo record out of his, as album Cut From A Star – featuring contributions from his bandmates and Miles Kane among others – was inspired by “a dream / hallucination” he experienced while in the throws of illness. Now on the road touring the record, Skelly has put together a selection of “some funky tracks I’ve been playing lately” – some of which you may hear when he DJs at London club This Feeling tomorrow night (9 February).
