Taking place is Ferropolis, Germany, Melt! Festival returns 17-19 July, with a line-up set to appeal to the pan-European festival goer. Stefan Lehmkuhl, Head Of Booking and Creative Director at Melt!, has made-up this playlist, presenting his personal favourites from the 2015 bill.

Ibeyi – River

“These talented and gorgeous sisters will play our very special annual matinee slot on sunday 4pm. It’s the only slot during the whole festival that has complete silence around it – all other stages (except the sleepless floor but that’s far away) dont play. Total focus on one band to open the sunday in silence. kings of convenience, Rhye and Jose Gonzales did it for example. Magic!”

Howling – Howling (Ame remix)

“This was our anthem that we used two years ago for our trailers when howling played their first big show ever. I’m still in love with this track and obsessed with Ry X the singer on the that track. I also love his Berlin song and generally everything that comes out on Innervisions.”

Years & Years – King

“Happy to have UK’s next big superstars over for their first big play in Germany. Normally the German charts are shit and you dot find acts on it at at Melt! but it seems Germany is now getting some good UK pop music finally, as these guys are doing really well here.”

Django Django – First Light

“Their second time at Melt! and now on the main stage. I think their new record is perfect for us: dancable indie-rock that you love whether you’ve heard the record or not! This should be a big year for Django Django.”

Frankie Goes To Hollywood – Relax

This will be performed at Melt! by its producer Trevor Horn and his band. Ok I’m gay and the booker so we probably are a festival with a rather higher LGBT-rate then others and this year we are paying tribute POP icons! Starting with Trevor Horn on Thursday, followed by Kylie Minogue and Giorgio Moroder on Saturday. There’s plenty going on!”

Jon Hopkins – Open Eye Signal

We’ve had to wait two years to get him on the bill following the release of his the iconic album Immunity. So happy to have him on at Melt! this year.”

Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons – Mohe Pi Ki Najarariya (Dixon Re-Edit)

“Love Damian coming back after hosting our Big Wheel stage two years ago. Very curious about his full live-set because he requested to play sunset!”

Nozinja – Tsekeleke

“I think Melt! has always been the Warp festival in Germany. From Aphex to Jamie Lidell to Mujava to Squarepusher, we have had them all play, and this year beside Clark and Autechre we have their new one, Nozinja, who fits very well with the “global beats” affinity that we developed over the years. This is a bit hectic on headphones but it makes you wild and sweaty live.”

Culoe De Song – Webaba

“A bit of South African house vibe, this will be the perfect start for a sunny Melt! on out Big Wheel stage on the Friday. Good vibes!”

Disclosure – You & Me (Flume Remix)

“Disclosure was one of last year’s highlights at Melt! and Flume are one of the most demanded acts for this year So I’m sure it’s going to be busy as hell. The Flume remix of Disclosre is very much Melt! to me.”
