Lonely The Brave release new album Things Will Matter on 20 May, while tonight (26 April) they play London’s Lexington in anticipation. Now here’s frontman Mark Trotter answering five questions…
WHO would play you in a film of your life?
I guess Tom Goodman-Hill would be a good place to start based on the amount of people who regularly say he’s my doppelganger. I guess it’s an easy link: he’s a ginger guy with a beard… I’d personally like Christopher Walken, purely because he’d make me seem a lot more interesting (and menacing) than I really am.
WHAT are you currently working on?
We’ve been locked away rehearsing for our upcoming tour and also recording some new tracks that will be making an appearance later this year. Things are about to get very busy for us.
WHY do you do that thing you do?
Because I don’t feel like myself otherwise. Honestly without music I have no idea what I would do with my life. Although it at times can be an incredibly tough way to live your life, every time we receive a message telling us how a certain song or record of ours has helped someone, or means so much to them, it makes everything worthwhile.
WHERE do you see yourself in 10 years?
Hopefully holed up in my own studio working with artists that excite me & still making music with my friends.
WHEN will there be a harvest for the world?
When The Isley brothers say so and not a second before.
