Part gig, part contemporary dance, part celebration of Manchester and the north of England’s indie songwriting, Jane Horrocks has spoken to Q about her new show at the Young Vic.

Actress will take to the stage at the London theatre (10 March – 16 April) for If You Kiss Me, Kiss Me and production that will see her front a band to perform covers from the likes of The Smiths, Buzzcocks, The Fall and more. The show will also see her interacting with dancers onstage.

Q’s Paul Stokes recent attended a rehearsal with Horrocks’ band – featuring musical director Kipper, plus Fabienne Débarre, Mark Neary and Rat Scabies – and having witnessed her performance of The Fall’s My New House, Joy Division’s Isolation, he sat down with them to discuss the project.
