Joining the likes of Nothing But Thieves, Ratboy and The Bohicas, Asylums are the latest graduates from the Essex new school. After a couple of Tracks Of The Day previously we put five questions to singer Luke Branch.
WHO would play you in the film of your life?
I think Gene Wilder would pretty much nail me, might need to get a few curlers in that hair do though!
WHAT are you currently working on?
I’m mainly working on the finishing touches to the Asylums debut album with the band at the moment, we are also on a tour with Ash in December!
WHY do you do that thing you do?
Because making art for the right reasons is the most satisfying feeling I know outside of falling in love.
WHERE do you see yourself in ten years?
Myself and the members of Asylums run a label Cool Thing Records with our friends in Southend, I’d love to still be a helping new music happen there. I’d also like to still be writing and playing music and experimenting further with visual art.
WHEN will there be a harvest for the world?
When 3D printers can provide every want to be home farmer with a nice set of shears.
