Having released their debut album A Dream Outside earlier this summer, it’s a busy few weeks for Gengahr who not only play the Reading & Leeds Festivals (29-30 August), but will be playing a secret ‘studio party’ for their label Transgressive next week (25 August)… and then they’re off on tour this autumn, kicking off dates At Brighton Komedia on 6 October. Frontman Felix Bushe just had time to answer five questions for us.
WHO would play you in the film of your life?
I would love Michael Fassbender to take on the roll as he always kills it in everything. I think he is quite possibly my favourite actor at the mo so lets hope he’s up for it.
WHAT are you currently working on?
We have just got back from touring Australia so we are taking a couple of days off to recover. But I’m currently working on a bunch of new songs that might hopefully be the starting of our next album.
WHY do you do that thing you do?
I think i am very fortunate to do what I do. It’s the life I always wanted for as long as I can remember. Everyday feels exciting and meaningful and that makes me happy and being happy is all the reason I need.
WHERE do you see yourself in ten years?
Hopefully still making music and art. Still enjoying life. Maybe a couple of kids and a dog. Who knows? I think I’ll probably still be in London though, I can’t imagine living anywhere else really.
WHEN will there be a harvest for the world?
Im not sure I really have enough insight to answer that with any real conviction. Hopefully within my lifetime.
