Jamie T played a unique ‘acoustic’ gig at London’s Hackney Empire last night (12 June) – and you can listen to his backstage interview with Q now.

The singer-songwriter played a set that mixed reworkings of old favourites, new songs and a couple of covers as he performed solo, with his band and with a string quartet throughout the show.

Before taking to the stage he spoke to Q’s Paul Stokes about his preparations for the show, the fact he was playing songs he’d “forgotten” writing and recalled his early days starting out when every gig was acoustic.

Looking ahead, he also spoke about his plans to follow-up album Carry On Up The Grudge. You can listen to the full backstage interview now, below.
