Manchester’s Man Made not only have a brand new video for their single Carsick Cars (out now) – which is premiering below – but play a sold out show at London’s Dingwalls tomorrow night (11 March). To mark the occasion we asked frontman Nile Marr – yep son of Johnny – five, non dad-related questions.
WHO would play you in the film of your life?
I’d like it to be Ellen Page. I think her work is rad, plus we have the same birthday so I feel like she already gets it. There can never be too many movies with her involved.
WHAT are you currently working on?
We’re on tour right now, which is how we like it. We’re writing and rehearsing some new stuff, and just getting ready for festivals coming up in the summer. We’re also trying to put as much energy as possible into helping our friend set up this reforestation project in the north moors. It’s still in it’s early stages. So plenty to do.
WHY do you do that thing you do?
Because we have to. All of us in the band share that.
WHERE do you see yourself in ten years?
Still doing what we do. Maybe in a bigger van, maybe I’d be doing less driving. Just more shows, more miles, in more countries. I think that’s a pretty good goal to have.
WHEN will there be a harvest for the world?
There already is a harvest for the world, we produce enough food, it’s so clear as soon as you take a look at how much we waste. It can be done, and there are plenty of people who dedicate their lives to this who would say it is already being done. It’s everyone else who need to start realising this. Maybe then the higher ups will start acting like it’s achievable and get on board.
