Andy Burrows has told Q he hopes to catch up with Tim Burgess and find out what’s going on with their “supergroup” The Chavs at tonight’s (4 December) Christmas Jumper Jam.
Both acts are playing the charity gig for Save The Children at London’s Union Chapel, along with Editors and The Subways, and the singer-songwriter joked that hopes to discuss the future of the part-time band he formed with The Charlatans singer and Carl Barat.
“The Chavs are a thing that get chatted about a lot on Twitter between myself and Tim but nothing happens,” Burrows explains in an audio interview you can listen to below. “
He has invited me to join The Charlatans on some sleigh bells so perhaps that will lead to some more discussions, Chavs album, record deal… I don’t know, something needs to happen, that’s for sure!”
Burrows also discussed a special screening a gig of his Snowman soundtrack at Rough Trade East on Monday (8 December) listen now.
