Though still at university, Alex G – Alex Giannascoli to give him his full name – has self-released four albums. The 21 year-old’s fifth, DSU, is out on 10 November, and such is the interest he’s taking some time off his studies to tour the UK. To keep him up to speed with exams and testing we put five questions to him.
WHO would play you in the film of your life?
In the film of my life I would like to be played by Adam Sandler as he is in the movie Billy Madison.
WHAT are you currently working on?
I am working on writing and performing music that people enjoy. I’m touring a lot with my band. We will be in the UK in November.
WHY do you do that thing you do?
I write and record music because it is what I do best. I like making things. I can express my ideas most effectively with music.
WHERE do you see yourself in ten years?
In ten years hopefully I will be living comfortably. Hopefully I will still be making music.
WHEN will there be a harvest for the world?
I dunno. I like the new Lay’s potato chips flavour. Wasabi Ginger. Thanks.
