Having toured with the likes of Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Interpol and released solo albums, David Pajo has reconvened with Brian McMahan and Britt Walford in Slint, kicking off dates later this week (including London’s Electric Brixton on 13 August). We put five questions to him.
WHO would play you in the film of your life?
Either Beneciio Del Toro or Manny Pacquiao.
WHAT are you currently working on?
Playing with Slint, raising a family, hanging and riding with my biker brothers.
WHY do you do that thing you do?
I made a choice at a young age to always follow my irrational heart over my logical mind. At this point I don’t know any other way to be – for better or worse depending on your politics.
WHERE do you see yourself in ten years?
By the time I’m 56 it will be 2024. My daughter will be driving and my son will be spreading seed throughout his high school. I’ll still be playing music but having art shows as well. People will think I’m legit because I’ve been doing it for so damn long. Even if my art and music sucks, they will think I’m legit!
WHEN will there be a harvest for the world?
When we wise up to who we are.
