Band Of Skulls have just released new EP new EP Hoochie Coochie, complete with a remix from The Black Keys Dan Auerbach (see below), plus have a UK tour planned for November. Frontman Russell Marsden answers a handful of questions for us.
WHO would play you in the film of your life?
I do bump into many doppelgängers on our travels. So perhaps one of those had a secret acting ambition. If not let’s hologram/ resurrect somebody: a Viking.
WHAT are you currently working on?
New songs for a new record. The moment an album comes out you are on to the next one emotionally. This next one might be dusk to the last album’s dawn.
WHY do you do that thing you do?
I have no choice. Driven to write music. Ideas bug me until I sit down and record them. The pay off is playing them live and feeling the energy off the crowd.
WHERE do you see yourself in ten years?
Making records. Fighting the corner for electric guitar and rock n roll.
WHEN will there be a harvest for the world?
When Neil Young buys iTunes.
