Listen to King Creosote – AKA Kenny Anderson – talking through his new record, From Scotland With Love which is released today (21 July).
The songs and instrumentals were initially created in collaboration with director Virginia Heath for her film of the same name, which tying in Commonwealth Games in Glasgow this summer, utilises archive footage from Scotland.
In a slightly windy London street, Anderson takes us through his album ‘reworking’ of the music track-by-track, explaining how skipping rhymes, war, drunken alter-egos and his own experience of “picking tatties” helped to inspired the unique project.
