Leeds singer-songwriter Paul Thomas Saunders releases has taken his time since releasing a series of acclaimed Eps before getting round to his debut album Beautiful Desolation on Monday (7 April). However he’s busy making up for lost time…
WHO would play you in the film of your life?
The reality is probably so different from the ideal. Kieran Culkin maybe? He was amazing in Igby Goes Down. He definitely appealed to my 16 year-old self. I can’t think of any half asian actors?
WHAT are you currently working on?
Anything new that feels refreshing. My manager’s cracking the whip, apparently a two year turn around for an album isn’t okay twice in a row.
WHY do you do that thing you do?
Because I have to. A BTEC National Diploma holds little currency in this utopia. I’m a desperate man.
WHERE do you see yourself in ten years?
Alright mum. I see myself behind the wheel of a large automobile, with a beautiful house and a beautiful wife… Though more likely I may find myself living in a shotgun shack in another part of the world.
WHEN will there be a harvest for the world?
My album Beautiful Desolation is out on Monday (7 April). Look out for my single ‘In High Heels, Burn it Down’ too!
