Having released former Track Of The Day, Dirty Sheets yesterday (13 January), before they head out on a cruise with Weezer, we caught up with Chicago’s The Orwells. With the band touring the UK next month, guitarist Matt O’Keefe (centre) reveals a little more about himself via the medium of our five big questions…
WHO would play you in the film of your life?
Justin Bieber. People say I look like him. It really pisses me off. I wish I looked like John Belushi. Talk about a cool looking dude. Although I guess it wouldn’t matter, you know, being the whole ‘he’s dead thing.’ Or Bill Murray, he’s sexy.
WHAT are you currently working on?
Finishing this interview. And now I’m trying to figure out my favorite Bill Murray movie. Tough question! We’re also finishing up our new album in Chicago, but I won’t bore y’all with that.
WHY do you do that thing you do?
Because my high school GPA told me if I didn’t I’d be selling sad souls smokes at a gas station for the rest of my life.
WHERE do you see yourself in ten years?
Selling sad souls smokes at a gas station.
WHEN will there be a harvest for the world?
I don’t even know what that means. That seems like a question for Bono. I’m sure he’d give you a real good, long, answer.
