Rudimental have told Q they’ve been in the studio recording with George Clinton for a new release.
We speak to the band in our latest issue, Q334 out now, about their background, influence and rise to prominence, but the Hackney-based group also reveal they’re already working on their second album.
Rudimental have written two tracks with Clinton after meeting him in a London studio.
According to the group’s Amir Amor, they discovered they had all sorts of “weird connections” to the funk pioneer, explaining “one of our best friend’s mum used to go out with him!”
For his part Clinton declared the Londoners and their touring band were “just like Funkadelic!”
